Teenager Miles Morales is bitten by a strange spider and finds himself experiencing the same problems a certain Peter Parker had when he became Spiderman. But there can only be one Spiderman, or what?
The animated movie that many named one of the best Spiderman movies made, but is it so? Yes. Into the Spider-Verse is clever in so many ways. It embraces the Spiderman movies already made and plays around with the many versions in ways that would sound confusing when told but luckily not at all when played out in front of you. There are cartoon stripes frames, there are written words on screen and different cartoon styles mixed and where it could be so terrible it is so cool! It somehow manages to be recognizable as a Spiderman origin story while being something completely new all the while it is both thrillingly exciting as well as funny and smart. Highly recommended for animation fans of all kinds as well as for fans of the superhero genre.
If you hit pause anytime a train goes, because all the animators wanted to animate Stan Lee, he’s in almost every single train.
