Four misfit teenagers end up stranded at summer camp after being forgotten during an evacuation due to an alien invasion. When the key to fight the aliens is handed to them, the four team up to save the world.

McG’s (Charlie’s Angels, 2000) action-packed teen hero adventure Rim of the World is a sci-fi flick for the entire family with great pace, good action scenes and terrific sense of humour. As an old school style summer blockbuster it brings nostalgic memories back to the 1980s where pictures like The Goonies (1985) and WarGames (1983) ruled and this modern take on the genre definitely earns its place among classics family-friendly adventure movies. The four kids are very different, giving a wide range of characters for the young ones to identify with and each and every one of them deliver great performances, especially Gore  (Wonder Wheel, 2017) as the frightened kid and Cech (The Darkest Minds, 2018) as the cool mysterious girl. The movie has just the right amount of cheesiness to charm, visual effects and great cinematography to stun and humour and action enough to ensure your entertainment. A fun, charming blast of a popcorn movie, take it for what it is and enjoy!
