When former agent Frank Moses (Bruces Willis) gets forced out of retirement by a murder attempt, he gathers his old team to help him find and kill his assailants.
This marvelous and highly entertaining action movie excels by having one of the greatest and most inspired casting in recent times. Who would have thought that Helen Mirren (The Queen 2006) would be so convincing shooting a machine gun? Or that she would look so incredible cool doing it? Willis (Die Hard 1988) plays a part he must be able to do in his sleep by now, but as they say: if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it! Malkovich (Con Air 1997) is exceptionel as Marvin Boggs, a man as dangerous as he is crazy and deffinately one of the best things in the movie, while Freeman (Se7en 1995) unfortunately is underused. The role of Moses’s love interest is played by a charming Parker (R.I.P.D. 2013), a girl who considers a kidnapping her second worst date. It’s a great and extremely quotable action movie with colourful characters played by a stellar cast, who definitely isn’t too old for this shit!
The purse Victoria (Helen Mirren) uses as a weapon is her own. She thought it stood so well with the dress she is wearing in the scene that she asked if she could use it.
