After a ship wreck a white baby is raised by ninjas due to an old text telling the legend of the great white ninja. However, despite a big heart Haru (Farley) is hopeless as a ninja and fails to fit in with his bumbling ways and clumsiness. One day, when he is alone, a beautiful lady (Sheridan) seeks help from a ninja and the instantly smitten Haru promises to help. Soon the poor excuse of a ninja is on a dangerous mission in Beverly Hills.
Perhaps the most known movie from the manic comedian Farley (Tommy Boy, 1995) is this hilarious action comedy which sees him being just as bad a ninja as one could imagine! Haru only manages to hit himself and his ninja brothers when fighting enemy and his attempts to hide quietly mostly ends with him crashing through the walls. But his messy haired ninja has his heart in the right place and despite his stupidity he easily wins you over. Shadowing him to help him unknown to him is his brother Gobei, played by the far more ninja-effective Shou (Mortal Kombat, 1995), who is fully occupied keeping his less skilled ninja brother alive. It is harmless and incredible fun and with Sheridan (Code Name: The Cleaner, 2007) playing the damsel in distress with charm and Parker (The Haunted Mansion, 2003) convincing as her criminal boyfriend, this is nostalgic fun!
One of Chris Farley’s final movie roles before his death on December 18th 1997.
